Welcome to Áras Folláin.
Áras Folláin, Peer Support Centre & Mental Health Association, is undergoing some changes.
When Áras Folláin was initially founded, over ten years ago, it was run by volunteers. However, over the past seven years we have been in a position to employ paid staff to help run the centre. During this time, North Tipperary Community Services were able to host the employment of the staff team and we are extremely grateful to them for this. Unfortunately, they are no longer in a position to do this and so we would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their valuable contribution.
Due to these changes an Emergency General Meeting was held on Tuesday 26th June to discuss the future of Áras Folláin. This meeting was very well attended, and the very clear sentiment is that there is huge energy and passion for the continuation of Áras Follain’s work given the difference it has made in so many people's lives.
So, Áras Folláin is returning to its roots as a volunteer-run organisation, for the foreseeable future.
The Centre is open at the following times:
* Tuesday Grow group 7.30pm – 9.30pm
* Wednesday Wellness café 11am – 1pm; Social Circle 5.30pm – 7.30pm,
* Thursday Mums Group 10.30am – 12.30pm; SHINE Peer Support Group 7.30pm - 8.30pm
* Friday for Brunch 11am – 1pm
We would like to thank all of the staff members who contributed to the development of Áras Folláin over the years and to acknowledge our volunteers for their continued support.
We look forward to many more years and to continuing to welcome people as we have always done.
